Backup and Storage

Backup and Storage

Datacentre storage options are often a key requirement for our customers, and eStation can offer alternatives right across the range, from simple Network Attached Storage devices, to high level Storage Area Networks running fibre channel and clustered replication.

Drawing from solutions provided by EMC, Netapps, HP and Onstor, our engineers can design and implement solutions based on gigabit Ethernet NAS, fully meshed and redundant fibre networks, or clustered solutions that allow for storage virtualisation, bit level replication and mirroring – all within the solution, or also across different sites. This gives clients maximum disaster recovery capability.

Direct Attached Storage

Direct Attached Storage (DAS)
- RAID array or tape library that attaches directly to a single server.
- Ideal for capacity expansion for existing infrastructure.
- High value proposition.

Network Attached Storage

Network Attached Storage (NAS)
- File level data sharing between multiple servers.
- Increases storage efficiency and performance.
- Plug and play solution that is easy to install, deploy and manage.
- Gigabit ethernet performance.

Storage Area Network

Storage Area Network (SAN)
- Dedicated high speed network with shared storage accessed by multiple servers.
- Block level data sharing, with clustered file system support.
- Designed for 24x7 data availability and reliability.
- iSCSI or Fibre Channel options.
